From the Mind of TurboJer...

My interest in turbine and jet engines dates back to 1961 when a technical college put on a program at my local high school gymnasium. Various technologies were introduced to the students. The one that stood out most in my mind and ears was when they started a Dyna-Jet engine. Indoors the sound was deafening.

They then placed a fan downstream of the exhaust of the jet and demonstrated a simple turbine wheel. I was hooked! I had to have one. It took me about four years, but I finally found a used (never run) Dyna-Jet for $30.

I was in heaven. The neighbors were not. Shortly thereafter, I moved to the country and have been there ever since. I lived about two and one half miles from the small town where I grew up, but my friends (what few I had left) would tell me they could still hear the jet in town.

Over the last thirty-five years, I have slowly added engines to my collection, which I am now sharing with you on the Internet.

My greatest wisdom gathered throughout the years is:

"IF IT'S NOT OUT THERE, BUILD IT"

"IF YOU FAIL, THE KNOWLEDGE GAINED IS STILL INVALUABLE!"

As you can imagine, I would like to hear from you if you have some time to discuss your interest in turbine engines after you are finished looking over the TurboJer Website--
